Water, Reimagined
Solar-Integrated Rainwater Infrastructure for Mediterranean Luxury Properties
The Mediterranean is drying. Ibiza's aquifers are saline and stressed, mains supply is a patchwork, and the August villa runs out before the season does.
Las Lluvias is the answer that was always above our heads. The solar panels installed for energy generation are tilted glass, hydrophobic, self-cleaning, elevated above ground — the rainwater catchment surface we already paid for. We integrate the layer that nobody integrates. Solar in, rain out, certified to drinking-water standards, sized to the architecture of a single estate.
One brand, two expressions: Las Lluvias the System (the infrastructure) and Las Lluvias the Water (what it produces).
The Vision
Watch the project overview
Four Pillars
What makes Las Lluvias different
Solar-Integrated Surface
The catchment is the photovoltaic array itself. Dual-purpose by design — energy and water from the same surfaces, already subsidised under the Spanish NextGen framework.
Drinking-Water Standard
Designed to EU Drinking Water Directive (2020/2184) compliance. Independently verified to ENAC laboratory-grade analytical standards.
Estate-Scale Pilot
First installations sized to the architecture of single Mediterranean luxury properties. Targeting Passivhaus Premium and BREEAM Excellent certification stacks.
Two Outputs, One System
Potable supply for the estate, optional premium-bottled water from the same infrastructure. One brand, two expressions — the System and the Water.
